Post The Young Ones
Has anyone seen this British sit-com? If you haven't, then go and rent it! It is sooo damn funny and pointless; and for some reason rock bands show up out of the blue (Motorhead performing "Ace of Spades"; Madness doing "Our House"). Things blow up, homes collapse, heads get bashed in, and Python Terry Jones shows up in one episode to play a drunk priest.

This is a show you have to see to believe. If you don't like it, then you're probably a boring, dirty hippie!

I love the Young Ones. My brother in law has the whole collection and I've been waiting to borrow it from him.

Reviving dead posts for stuff to talk about that isn't related to Metal or FLCL is win.

I haven't seen very many episodes, but I have the first 6 and they are hilarious. I want to get the box set from amazon when I get money, but I need AbFab first. Does anyone else like Absolutely Fabulous or the Young Ones?

I love AbFab, but don't really care for the Young Ones.

Red Dwarf, ftw.

I have not seen Red Dwarf yet. Is it any good? Blank, have you seen the AbFab movie? If so, did you like it? I thought it was hilarious.

Red Dwarf is amazing. Unfortunately, I have not seen the AbFab movie. The only time I ever really was able to watch it was when it was on PBS back in the day, and then later when I got BBC America (but they never showed it that often.)

I read the synopsis on wiki and it sounds interesting so I think I'm going to have to check it out.

AbFab:Last Shout is a must see for fans, even if they've only seen a few episodes of the series. I haven't seen Gay yet, but I've heard it's great.

Also, are you a fan of The Flying Circus? I don't think I saw a thread about Monty Python...

Wow! I actually have stuff in common with you. I dunno about you, but I am in fucking shock.

Which is your favorite Monty Python movie? Mine is The Meaning of Life. It beats the shit out of The Holy Grail. Although, all Monty Pythons stuff was fantastic. There was a video game?

My mom told me about The Beatles cartoon from after (or before, my mom doesn't remember) the Yellow Submarine, but surprisingly was never released T_T God I would love to see that.

Ahahaha, I love The Meaning of Life. The best part is when John Cleese takes his wife into the classroom to teach the kids about sex ed.

As for my favorite movie, I think it has to be Holy Grail. Then again, I haven't seen The Meaning of Life in forever. If I have the chance, I'll try to watch them back to back sometime.

And yes, there was a videogame for the PC. It was called something like Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time. It even advertised that it was a complete waste of time too....and it was. :|

That was hilarious, but The song about sperm was too epic to forget. The life of Brian is pretty good, but The Holy Grail is just played out. There was about a year where me and my friend watched nothing but that movie and Eddie Izzard's Dressed To Kill and Glorious, and quoted the three non stop every chance we got. Oh man, it's been so long since I've seen Meaning of life too I have forgotten most of what happens other than the football game. And for some reason all I can think of right now is "ALBATROSS, GET YOUR ALBATROSS HERE". It was a skit form Flying Circus. I don't remember the set up, but I have a screen cap of John Cleese dressed as a woman with an albatross on a platter. That show destroyed my brain for good.

I sat here for like 10 mins trying to figure out what the fuck they could make a video game out of... I guess I wasted 10 more precious minutes of my life...
