Post subject:  RIP Toonami

I'm not sure if you guys have posted about this, but here it goes:

Last Saturday, September 20th, held the last airing of Toonami on Cartoon Network. Now I know Toonami hasn't always had the greatest selection of anime, but to me, it was what introduced me to anime as a whole. 11 years ago, when I was just about 6 years old, I'd come home each day and watch Tenchi Muyo, Dragon Ball Z, and Reboot. It was truly the greatest thing ever back then. It's the end of an era.

Goodbye, Toonami, I will miss you.

Oh wow, this makes me feel old. It's sad, I used to come home all the time and watch DBZ, Reboot[used to be my favorite show], etc. and it's really a thing I associate a bunch of childhood memories with. I can't believe the years of my being a kid are coming to an end, and it makes me sad.

Yeah, I definitely remember watching DBZ and Gundam Wing on Toonami. I remember when Tom didn't have that lame-ass 3D-rendered outfit on. I remember finding out that Tom was voiced by Steve Blum, the voice actor for Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop.

Yup, I found out a couple days ago. I watched Gundam Wing (Every episode), Sailor Moon, DBZ and Tenchi Universe. The last Tom looked like a Tonka Train. :?

I recall being suprised when I found out just how many roles Steve Blum got, imdb now cites 307 roles. Way to be, the man is in demand lol. I made a sig image of him when I was on the NGBBS. If I can find it I'll put it up. :)

The only time I can ever remember watching Toonami was when Hamtaro was shown.

Hah. Nice. Funny to think that's the voice of Spike from Cowboy Bebop...with a lowered voice pitch.

I used to watch Toonami often, because once Leno and Conan were over, there were few alternatives to infomercials. Anything affiliated with Williams Street has my stamp of approval.

And that's a bad thing? I love hamtaro  Little Hamster big adventures :groovin: :shred:

I liked toonami. But it wasn't the greatest thing ever. I lost my cable like 2-3 years ago. Last time i remember it was placed by some "Muguzi" thing. I then stopped watching it completely. Most of the shows started to stink. Zoids. Among other shows. I use to watch Gundam Wing. G-gundam. The gundam seed wasn't "that" great. The other shows i didn't like .

Adult Swim on the other hand has also begun to stink or last time i checked. They repeat family guy so many times. And it just fell too.
