Re: Where The Wild Things Are
I'm...guessing they're expanding the plot of the original work.
At least, for once, people won't be bitching about what was left out from the book.
Either way, I still can't understand any excitement over a film derived from a children's book, but apparently Star Wars was initially supposed to be for children too.

Omg... what a blast from the past. I really can't wait to see this.

Re: Where The Wild Things Are
I loved the book as a kid, but seeing it animated just scares the fuck out of me.

It looks really sweet. As in pleasant/nostalgic/etc.

Re: Where The Wild Things Are
So I'm still not sure if I liked it... I liked the monsters and how child-like they behaved... but there were some things that were very odd. I tried not to question too much, because the story is mostly metaphorical, but still.

Re: Where The Wild Things Are
I've yet to see it but I'd really like to. I noticed, though, there's two different versions of the commercials. One is targeted to kids and the other is targeted towards hipsters. If I hear Arcade Fire coupled with "I'll eat you up. I love you so." one more time, I'm going to flip out.
