Is a giant waste of time. Seriously, this movie sucked more ass than any other movie I can think of that I've seen in the last several years. There's no real plot, no real character development, and they use the same three badly composed songs about fifty billion times throughout the movie. Shit fucking sucked. There were a few lines that were kind of funny though. |

I think it looks awesome as hell. Daniel-Day Lewis is a very good actor, plus its gotten 8 academy award nominations...how bad can it be. |

If you liked the doldrum of Little Miss Sunshine, maybe it will appeal to you. |

Aw, man, I want to watch Little Miss Sunshine again. Goooooooooood. ![]() Lol, Paul Dano is in this movie, too. Funny coincidence you'd mention LMS in the thread. |

ITT, Mare doesn't like charming, quirky character comedies. ![]() |

LMS was boring. There will be blood was worse (by far). The priest dude is the only amusing character, but only because he's a total ass. |

LMS was a shitfest, but TWBB looks compelling to me. I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE! I DRINK IT UP! |

I don't really like LMS, but I still want to see this movie. |

I can see why people wouldn't like There Will Be Blood, it's very much not a Hollywood film in pretty much every aspect, but I personally loved it. One of my absolute favorites of the 2000s thus far, only slightly behind No Country For Old Men. Daniel-Day Lewis' performance is astounding. Arguably the single most damn interesting/entertaining movie character I've ever watched. To balance things out a bit, another favorite of mine this year was Shoot 'Em Up ![]() |

Well, I just don't like "artsy" films, just like I don't like "artsy" music. I think you all know what I mean by that. Anyway, I did like the scenery, being from Nevada/Idaho. As in, it made me a little nostalgic...lol. |

I think I'd consider LMS a little "artsy," definitely, but I wouldn't call TWBB artsy. It's sort of... it's own thing. Kind of feels like an on-screen novel. I want to read the Upton Sinclair novel it's "inspired by" or whatever. |

Yeah, it was inspired/based off of a novel, but it was DEFINITELY very artsy. |
