I saw a commercial for this and it made me because it didn't even tell me what the movie is about.
I am so sick of hearing covers of The Beatles.

What a strange movie.
I enjoyed the music, but as the Rocky Horror Picture Show has proven, good music can't save a movie from mediocrity - but it can be reason enough to go see it.
If you're open to the idea of musicals such as "We Will Rock You," "Mama Mia!" or "Movin' Out," then the only difference with "Across the Universe" is that it came out on film (originally, if not exclusively - strange, might I add). Surely, it is weird for a movie - however, in reality, when you compare it to typical musicals (as you should), it comes across as quite tame.
