Post Ju-On
I made the mistake of watching this movie alone. This was perhaps the freakiest film I've ever seen. Done really well (better than American films, at least).

However the thing that creeps me out about his film is the fact that every one in this film didn't even deserve to die/disappear. Haven't the evil spirits ever heard of using the phrase "Get out and never come back"? If it was some douchebags that died, and I'd say they'd deserve it. I mean I know it sounds stupid saying that, but just about every one in this film that fell victim would classify under a "likeable character."

Still, I really enjoyed this film; but next time I'll make sure I watch it with someone else in the room. Someone that isn't named Toshio .

Are you talking about Ju-On: The Grudge, or Ju-On: The Curse? Because Ju-On: The Grudge sucks really, really badly. Ju-On: The Curse is pretty cool, especially for a made for TV movie. Certainly not particularly scary, save for the cool clicking sound the bitch makes.

I'm assuming you mean Ju-on as in the Japanese version of the grudge.

Yeah I saw that one at 3am alone in a hotel. Lemme tell you, the elevator ride back too my room was the longest elevator ride I have ever been on. That movie haunted me for a few days.

I actually rented The Grudge (the American movie) just too compare the two. Lemme tell ya, its much worse than the Japanese version. They cut out alot of stuff and added more jump-out-and-scare-you stuff and alot more cliche horror movie characters which really took away from the creepiness of it all. Also since all the main characters were conveniently American, they overplayed the "foreigner in a foreign land" angle way too much.

I watched Ju-On: The Grudge 2 last week. Not as scary as the first, but still wicked creepy!
