The sad news is that Bumblebee is not a VW Beetle. He's a Ford Mustang now. I hope that they use the old voices instead of "IT" actors.
I do remember the old movie. That was great. Especially the part where Megatron says "I still function." That scene is timeless.
EDIT: I'm looking forward to the movie. I hope that it'll do the Transformers justice. Still kinda mad about Bumblebee.

The teaser was pretty kick ass. They made it look like it was going to be one of those space thriller movies like Alien or Mission to Mars; and then the title comes out and everyone in the theater is like "Wait, what? FUCK YEAH!!"

I gotta wonder. I have nothing specifically against Bay. I liked The Island all right. But I gotta wonder about taking any franchise and turning it into a film how well it'll be carried over to a new medium.

They take something that is imensely popular, and change [i]everything[/i].
If they fuck this up, the shit will hit the fan. It's fucking Transformers; giant robots that turn into everyday machines. I [b]dare [/b]someone to try and do that in movie form without being cool.

I saw a trailer for this movie "Returner". Has anybody seen it? It looks okay. Crazy CG transforming battleships in it.
