Turn off the computer, get off your ass, and see this movie. The greatest piece of satire ever!

I really want to see it, but it's not in our theater... hopefully it will come.

I did, however, see Inside Man, which was awesome.

Thank You For Smoking I thought was totally mediocre. Yes, it succeeded at being satirical, but honestly...we already KNOW about the spin, we know how people in the tobacco companies are completely evil...it just didn't present anything new.

The Daily Show and Colbert Report are on 4 nights a week. Personally, I think the Colbert Report is crap -- but really. Jon Stewart nails satire. It's cutting, funny, and new.

Thank You For Smoking everything that may have been "witty" about big tobacco about 5 years ago.

The thing is, the audience already knows all of the crimes of the industry, along with the ways they try to cover it up.

I loved the Hollywood Agent when the camera cut to him in a kimono. That was pretty good.

Does anyone else agree with me here that Thank You For Smoking was pretty unoriginal?

The Daily Show isn't even as funny as it use to be.

And they used to be pretty ambivalent. Somewhere, somehow they took a hard left turn.

Anyway, smoking adds plenty of tax revenue for the government that we, as non-smoking individuals, therefore, do NOT have to pay. Go smoking.
