Watched The Devil's Rejects last night, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Watched Blue Valentine yesterday. Thought it was fantastic, though rather depressing. This movie is a case study in how the man in a relationship can get things horribly, horribly wrong and destroy a woman's attraction to him.
Tip: if you bow down before your girl in tears, begging her to tell you how you can make things better, you are doing it wrong and might as well hand over your balls on a silver platter.
Visitor Q is great- one of Miike's best. Let me know what you think of it! Ichi the Killer isn't that nasty. A lot of people seem to think that it's this hyper-violent, super depraved movie that you have to be really brave or crazy to watch, but in reality that's just a stereotype propogated by Westerners whose understanding of the depraved is extremely limited. Ichi is pretty tame compared to a lot of films I've seen. Give it a shot, Terra! You may really enjoy it. There are some really humorous parts in it, and the cinematography is pretty cool too, IMO.
All right... maybe sometime I'll check it out. I guess I can always fast forward if necessary.

Agreed 100%. Great movie, but it ruined my mood for the rest of the day.
Just watched Visioneers. Highly recommended.

Re: What movies have you watched recently?
Watched the first two films in the Guinea pig series. The second film was probably the most ruthless shock horror I've seen. The special effects and overall atmosphere depicted make it a lot worse than any of the ultra-violent films released in the US (Saw or Hostel, for example). I'm disappointed that so far, the films have been almost completely without plot, though from the film descriptions off of wikipedia, it seems like they somewhat approach some sort of storytelling as they progress. I wouldn't really call these films good, and definitely wouldn't recommend them to the weak of stomach. Actually, I really wouldn't recommend them to anybody, because the majority of people would not be interested in these films.

I saw a few of these about a year ago. The gore was quite realistic. Fairly enjoyable films, for the shock-value anyway. You're right though- the plot is pretty much non-existant. You've got good taste in movies, mate! I thought I was the only one who'd ever seen any of those!
A side-note: In the 90's Charlie Sheen saw one of these movies and thought it was actually a snuff film. He contacted the FBI and a full investigation began. Eventually they found out that it was merely Japanese film trickery.

Watched True Grit last night. I hadn't watched a Western in a long time. It was pretty good.

Re: What movies have you watched recently?
Went to see Cars 2 with some girl who's trying to have sex with me.
She annoys me, and the movie was terrible.

Re: What movies have you watched recently?
I just watched finished watching the Back to the Future Trilogy. I bought it at Rasputin's for 10 bucks. A lot of humorous stuff "Wow Doc... This is heavy." "There's that word again, heavy. Is there something wrong with the Earth's gravitational pull in the year 1985?" "1.21 Jiga-wats!!!..." (Not sure I spelled the unit right...) Emmett Brown a.k.a the Doc really made this movie a huge success. He was the perfect choice for the role as the goofy neighborhood scientist who discovers time travel. The movie wouldn't be the same without Christopher Llyod..
