That's why i don't want the pillows to become popular in America. I mean, it'd help them, but then listening to them wouldnt be indie....

Because we all know that King records is the ultimate indie label, and that Pioneer/Geneon has no connection to the RIAA whatsoever.
I don't think we have to worry about The Pillows "selling out" when they've been signed to a major for more than a decade.

anyway... you have to admit, a lot of people don't obsess with the pillows as much(at least out loud) compared to 6 mths. ago. the anime fanbase got a hold on them and it started to be cool to like them... and look at us now! but yeah. we still like them... but we aren't obsessed anymore.

FLCL is still a damn good anime. In it's own right. It had the bonus of featuring the pillows' music. I don't know anything about it acheiving cult status, all I know is that I watched it, I liked it and I'll keep it as a classic. And I wouldn't expect to speak of it unless people start threads demanding us to never mention FLCL again.
