Amazing based on what? The characters are two-dimensional, whenever they do develop it's unrealistic and forced, and they burst into tears about anything. Or sometimes [i]nothing at all[/i].

I hate the comedy in Anime so much. It's so stupid. It always consists of people saying something in a stupid voice, then getting nervous, bubbles appearing above their head while the scratch the back of it. If there was anime that didn't try to be funny, it wouldn't be bad. It would just be like any other movie.

Isn't azumanga enjoyable just when you have at least a minimum knowledge on japanese culture? I saw many people who considered it totally crap without even getting it right.

Eh...sort of. The main thing is that you have to have an appreciation for that style of humor. Some people may be turned off extreme happiness that's exhibited in Azu.

Azumanga Daioh has a lot of humor that anyone would be able to understand, but it also has a lot of very Japanese humor. Just look at all the cultural notes in the DVD booklets. I don't really think that someone with absolutely no knowledge of Japanese culture would be able to get the most out of it. Unless you watch the dub, I guess (I think I remember a lot of the Japanese stuff being changed. Yes/no?).

A friend made me watch Bleach, and it's been pretty cool.

I hate Bleach. It's been dragging on for some time now. I watched about half the first season and said, "Eh, fuck it..."
