Lol, you liked it too eh terra? I need to get that one for my small collection or just rent it. Shaolin Soccer was pretty funny. It's also an anime I think.

Go watch every Woody Allen movie you can get your hands on, and watch them chronologically. He is a genius director, prime example: the blocking in Crimes and Misdemeanors when Judah goes to Dolores apartment to try and end their affair-notice how the entire scene happens in ONE shot.
chaplin > keaton
I don't think many people know how much Chaplin actually did for his movies, even starting near the end of his career with Mack Sennet, he started directing his own stuff. Then going on to form United Artists, all of his films after that were self-directed/scored/produced/acted; he was really a tireless autuer. I think 'The Great Dictator' is one of the best WWII films ever made; it's such bittersweet/tragic comedy and it was released during the war... just imagine what it must have been like for a "jewish" comedian to make a movie making fun of Hitler and actually have it seen by him. He had some pretty big balls.
Even his later films like 'Limelight' and 'Monsieur Verdoux' which are complete departures from the tramp, we get to see what an excellent dramatic actor he really is. And the Chaplin/Keaton scene in 'Limelight' is fucking hilarious, too.
Keaton was very good at what he did, but I just think Chaplin was way more versatile and expansive in his work.

That scene always makes me laugh, but I can't help pitying the two actors. Even though they are still capable of producing quality material, their era is over.
Limelight is probably too didactic, even in an era where overt-moralism was s.o.p, but I still like the film.
EDIT:

Not to metion all the heat he caught for his leftist politics. Becuase he was so outspoken, the government and FBI constantly harassed him. Later in his career Hoover even tried to deport him.
By the middle of 1921 he had his own production company--Buster Keaton Productions--and was writing, directing and starring in his own films.
plus, have you ever seen any of buster's stunts? that man was fucking insane. he was doing dangerous stunts since he was barely out of diapers.
The Three Keatons: Buster, his father Joe Keaton and mother Myra Keaton. Their act, one of the most dangerous in vaudeville, was about how to discipline a prankster child. Buster was thrown all over the stage and even into the audience. No matter what the stunt, he was poker-faced.
quotes taken from internet movie database.
