I've always been fond of the second OP to GiTS.

/thread
Lmfao. Oh, you. It is probably the best insofar that it's hilarious and classic.
I'll ask you to warn me next time before you make me writhe in pain via intense laughter.
The first ending to Outlaw Star, "hiru no tsuki": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz1508RBx2wThe lyrics are beautiful, the singer has a fantastic voice, and it really fits well with the series. To date, this is the only anime I have ever purchased. It's probably my favorite series.
hahaha my grandmother caught me trying to sing along to this song when i was like 8. edit: my favorite anime OP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHs5AjAvFoA

N.H.K! is a great anime and I love the opening. Round Table Feat. Nino is an awesome group.

Oh, the nostalgia. Seriously, though. Yu Yu Hakusho is the best shonen ever.

Re: The most amazing anime OP/EDs ever
^ wins. The Samurai Champloo OP used to be what made my watch adult swim every night. I looked more forward to the OP than the actual anime.
Also, I was going to post 'Tank' the Cowboy Bebop OP, but I'm sure I'd just be recycling a past post.

Re: The most amazing anime OP/EDs ever
Talking 'bout Tank! It's very reminescent of the opening of Baccano! I actually just played those two at the same time very nice, . . . if you got the right timing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClrOomR3C40 (Tank! - Cowboy Bebop) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F5459jCtuM (Guns & Roses - Baccano! and while you're at it, you may just also listen to this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If_nAMXa ... re=related (It's The Brink of Time Track 1 - Chrono Trigger, not an anime opening though.)

The main riff of Bad Dreams always reminds me of Tank!
