It's not that that's what I LIKE, it's more of a it's the only thing that worked. What I really like is when the film builds up suspense with music, and then absolutely nothing fucking happens. Seeing as how this was pretending to be real, there was no music, and that sucked for me.

Because anything taking place in Seattle automatically means GR is there.

So.. I just got back from seeing this movie, and I must say I enjoyed myself. While I didn't scream, or even jump a little, I've probably never been that freaked out in my life. The last scene in the movie freaked me the FUCK out.

If you do, don't go in thinking, "WOW OMG THIS IS GUNNA BE SCARY!!" because you'll be pretty disappointed. While it has its freaky parts, you're not going to jump if you mentally prepare yourself when the ominous music starts to play (lol). I really loved this movie though, because it's not the kind of scary movie where it's like, "WOW THAT MONSTER JUST JUMPED OUT!!" but more of a, "What the FUCK... something is manipulating that woman's body that we can't see."

Post Re: Paranormal Activity
Finally saw this, albeit the original version, not the theatrical one. I thought it was well-done, suspenseful, and worth seeing. But my major complaint was that there was too much buildup compared to the small amount of horrible things that ended up happening.

****spoilers****

I'm probably spoiled by the Exorcist and the movies influenced by it, but when someone gets possessed, in my book there needs to be a lot more suffering before things are resolved. Yeah, things are resolved violently (in either ending), but the only real suffering leading up to the weak climax was fear. She got only one bite from the demon? Why wasn't there more physical damage? A long, gradual decay of her body from demonic attacks would have been more disturbing than one fucking bite. She cut her hand gripping a cross too tight? Big fucking deal. Linda Blair's possessed character ripped her cunt on a cross back in the 70s. Getting dragged from bed was a good start, but it didn't go far enough.

tl;dr version of my complaints: the woman's suffering needed to be more intense, physical, and disturbing. But really, I complain too much. I had a good time watching the movie and would recommend it to someone looking for a good, creepy film to watch in the dark.

Watched the screener. It was very well made, but it wasn't "one of the scariest movies ever" by any means. It was Blaire Witch meets The Exorcist which made it a really good documovie, but scary it was not, save for the end. I did not expect that at all.

The only scene that gave me chills was the scene twords the end where Katie gets dragged out of bed. The ending was outstanding, but everything before that was predictable lack-luster.
I always thought Rosemary's Baby should have been a docufilm.
