i've also been meaning to check out the appleseed movie... anyone seen it?

there's this one coming out soon that looked quite interesting- i can't remember the name, but it was about a girl warrior in medieval japan who had to disguise herself as a man to take her brother's place on some mission (critical to the future of japan, naturally) for the government.
i've read the first appleseed manga, and i'd be interested in seeing the movie if it's good enough.

about the second thing, that sounds a lot like the storyline for Basara.

Is Ninja Scroll anygood, because I could get the whole complete series for 40 bucks at wal-mart or Appleseed the movie...

Appleseed did look pretty cool in the previews.

Diddn't find Appleseed all that interesting. The story is pretty weak and the animation isn't all that amazing, though the cell-shaded characters are pretty cool, but the way they move is just ..akward.

Robot Carnival pulled it off better, with a smoother flow.

Now and Then-Here and There is also wroth considering. It's sort like a sci/fi Grave of the Fireflies, dark/depressing yet beautiful/touching. One of my faves.

What the hell, can anyone recommened any Gundam? I've been meaning to watch some stuff, but geez ...where the hell do I start?

Can't be as bad as the GTO drama. Or the old Lupin live action movie. argh..

Okay, I think I'll look into the triology movies and then move on to Z(or was it Zeed?). Heard Wing was pretty solid. I'll try to keep my anticipation low for the finale. Thanks.

You got that right. I think when they made that show either they was on crack or just had very little or ALOT of time on their hands.
