In honor of graduation and all and me now having more spare time than ever before, I have begun translating white incarnation. This thread will be used for my posting said translations.

Currently reworking these, so far only Paper Moon ni koshikakete is done. (01/08/08)

01 - colorful pumpkin fields

Colorful but cheap,
this step is just like tightrope dancing.
I just jumped from the top of the building,
but I have a feeling it's okay.

Jammed together and shaking,
standing in this kind of town.
"You are here," and that's all.
Everybody else is in the middle of some TV show
where it seems like anything goes.

Jump at full speed!
I came and stamped it.*
together with you in this pumpkin field forever.
I want to dance though looking at the stars.*

In a town where it seems as though
the balance will collapse if one screw is out of place,
"You are here," and with that alone
I don't feel as though there are any problems at all.
In this way, smiling!*

From now until forever, wherever I am;
even if the landscapse is like a deserted island,
I will follow the footprints that
I finally found where you were standing.

I had a strange dream yesterday.

03 - paper moon ni koshikakete (Sitting on a Paper Moon)

I rolled over at a sudden thought

In the bottom of the tobacco box is hidden
a photograph of mom and some held-back tears.

This nonsense of prideful me,
and skillful Addie feigning tears,
is the greatest deception in the world.

Saint Joseph who we kept waiting

Just one more drink, fill it with warm black tea.
Right after that, I'll go home.
It's cold outside and you can't even see the stars.
I've no reason to, I'm not getting up.

Now that I think about it, you were always silent.
Just like always. Again, I laughed.

Because I'm becoming a little accustomed to even the things I hate
'Don't worry about it.' That's what I think.

What do I want? I understood perfectly,
but in any case, I'm not saying.
As I pass through, if I look out the window at the landscape,
somehow everything drifted along.

Now that you say it, I'm always shivering here;
Something is aiming for my soul.

07 - blue march

I was across from the splendid march.
For the soldiers, today is a parade.
From the plastic models in my room,
a big tank; I wonder where they'll go to.

The turning pace from the wheels.
Following the order, the robot moves.
Even if it fires once or twice
there's no way to be that undaunted.

I don't even want to listen to an explanation.

(Blue March) End this tiny world.

(Blue March) If you can hear it, look out! The Blue March.

I saw some scary news on TV.
Am I the only one with this nightmare?
I don't want to think about these terrible things, but
what do I do with this hole in the vacant sky?

The escape route is quickly shrinking.

08 - yoake ga yattekita

I almost think it'd be fine even if time were to stop.
That was a dawn that couldn't be forgotten.
I didn't want to sleep. Alone on the roadside,
it enveloped me and I sat and basked in it.

The orange-colored sky and the painted clouds,
even the silhouettes of the reticent buildings;
they were all singing.

I use all the words that I know,
because I want you to be able to see it clearly in your head.

Like it was more than I deserved, like it was a little saddening,
like it could save me; it was that sort of color.

Today only, for my sake, dawn has arrived.
"Everything is going to be just fine;" that's how I was feeling.

09 - tonight

Dreaming is very lonely;
waking up is scary.
Being with you is also somehow lonely.
I feel like going home.

Tonight
I wanna keep on smiling.

To sink into silence is very easy for me.
Soon, I won't find any words.
Even being alone is just a bit enjoyable;
not showing to anybody that I exist.

10 - bokura no HAREE suisei

For now, let's just make a promise before.
Even with painful things, even with sorrowful tears, let's be together.
With childlike steps, however many times we stumble,
I will never let go of your hand; it'll be okay.

Together, we were watching the shooting stars. I only have one wish, that once more...

Let Halley's comet be in front of us again. Until the day it shows itself,
forever, and forever, I want to be with you.

If you also noticed, this innocent laughter right now could be forgotten.
Maybe I'll break, and I don't even know if I can sing.
The day will come when even this ever-turning planet will go to sleep.
Even so, it's no lie. You are indespensible, no matter what happens.

I wonder if I could go through a wizard to get
my request to this wonderful comet.

i know terra already translated this, but i interpreted it differently in a few places. this one surely has some mistakes; it was the hardest one on the whole album.

11 - good night

I would say either some odd way of saying Paris (usually モンパリ), or else [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montparnasse]Montparnasse[/url], a particular area within Paris.

montparnasse has to be it (monparii = paris...)

I do not own White Incarnation, (but I am saving up for it...) and the song in the Menu in "WE HAVE A THEME SONG" DVD. Is that "Kanojo Wa Shisuta"?
