My favorite pre 1996 pillows song, now translated by me.

I'm living in my studio on the outskirts of town, painting paintings I can't sell.
You're the famous young lady of Paris, the richest in the town.

Is the time limit on our love already up?
Am I too late in missing you?

We had our fun days, didn't we?
Slipping out in the middle of the night and taking a walk.
I wasn't able to ascertain the reason why I was late to
our rendezvous that day.

Though it's clear that your boyfriend now is a cold person.

Marie, I love you.
I want you to be by my side, I want to embrace you.
Marie, I'll paint your portrait.
We don't need decorations, just smile.
Next to me.

In a space with not even one inconvenience,
Did you get everything you wanted?
Like ever since that silver dress,
That dress was sparkling.

In my life at last,
I've finally found that brilliant smile.

Marie, I love you.
I want you to be by my side, I want to embrace you.
Marie, I'll paint your portrait.
We don't need decorations, just smile.
Next to me.

With the pistol that will brush away just about anything and everything,
I'll pull the trigger on this melancholy world.

Marie, understand these feelings.
There's no one other than me, isn't that right?
Marie, someday let's return to that town.
Let's return reclining, rocking in a wagon.
Right next to me. Always together.

I normally don't give two shits about lyrics, but I like these.

Looks good, and this reminds me that I need to clean up my god-awful early romanizations. Nice job.

The only reason I love this song so much is because of the catchy guitar riff and these lyrics, they're just really poetic somehow.

I dunno.

I'll probably get around to translating all the really early untranslated shit in the next few days or so, it takes me about 5-10 minutes to do a song (paris girl marie took me around 5).

Nice, how long have you been studying? That's generally how fast I could get an easy song like this one done back when I was in practice.

I've studied since I was around 11, I'm 18 now. I've done paid translation work before even graduating high school hahaha.

I want to try to see how hard it would be to finish the translation of Walkin' on the Spiral but I don't have the movie and when I posted in the traders thread no one responded. Do you have it?

I used to have transcripts of everything in Japanese that somebody provided at one time, try searching through the pillows section to see if you can find the stuff from that time. I think one of the Japanese members was working on translating it all or something, but don't really remember, it's been a while.

I still have the transcripts that someone did a while ago. I emailed them to you, zorahk.

oh wow

This reminded me of this one time when I was sitting next to this exotic girl on a plane.
She came from Paris and showed me her paintings. Apparently she had some type of studio over there.
Man, was she something....didn't remember her name

Keep translating! ^_^

We need more of you hardworking people.
