I think for the end of the first verse he says something along the lines of "play a little more." That's just what I hear, though. I've been wondering about these lyrics for a while. |
I don't like to feel to sweet relief
Sounds much more like "I don't like to stand or sleep alone." But then in the live Blue Poppies version, it sounds like he says "I don't like to sit or sleep with you." That's the problem with lyrical interpretation. With Sawao's English, it could be anything. Official lyrics, anyone? Also "Just the perfect thing, I told you so" sounds more like "Just the perfect thing, soul to soul." But it's a shot in the dark. |

Yeah, it really doesn't sound right, what you have for the second line. GR's sounds better. I also don't think it's "pillows clouds," but I haven't thought of anything (it also just sounds like "cloud"). The part after has me stumped. I don't think "we tired three" makes sense, but moreso than "retired tree." Either way, to me it definitely starts with 't' rather than 'f.' It's really hard to pick words out of this song. If I hadn't seen the video, I never would've heard "hey shaggy moon" in my wildest dreams. |

In my opinion, it doesn't matter what sounds better. What matters is that, to my knowledge, there are no official lyrics that we can access. So the best you can do is to guess. And I feel weird about covering a song when you don't actually know the lyrics. So I wouldn't have chosen Texan Daily Life. |

Well, on the topic of Sawao's engrish, it would be the same as trying to cover Subhuman, even if you know the lyrics, it'll be the same cause the pronunciation makes the song in this case. I'm just trying to get what sounds the closest, TDL is a great song that I really feel it'll be fun to cover. |

Did anyone ever manage to translate the text for the video to get these lyrics? Are those even lyrics on the video? This song is so good, but so hard to understand for a lot of it... |
