But if you mean if you like stepped in dog shit and then ground your shoe to get the shit off, we don't have a verb for it.

Yeah, I was being pretty lazy when I typed death wish. I didn't mean he was literally asking to die--I meant something more basic; like, if you step on a tiger's tail, you're asking to be hurt.
EDIT: As for a translation, if you're looking for something that's non-literal, but conveys the same message I would put something like:
I'll step on a tiger's tail
Even though I know I'll get hurt.
or more in the context of the song, I suppose:
I stepped on the tiger's tail
And twisted my foot.
Since he obviously knew what would happen, it's more of something that's implied, like in the song. V
