Post subject:  Wake Up! Wake Up! Wake Up! TRANSLATIONS

I've only got a little bit done on these, but I'm working on it a bit in some of my spare time when I'm not busy hitting on girls and hanging out with friends. As always, there's surely some mistakes. If anybody wants to help, I have the kanji all typed up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

01 - Wake up! dodo

Where did he go, that flightless bird?
Is he above the top of the clouds, taking a stroll?
Can he get to know the thing called heaven?
Can he hear the old rock music?

When we're out of time, we die too.
I want to wake up saying "I'm not satisfied yet."

In the brilliance of space, Wake up!
I'm searching for you in a dream.

They've become a hindrance, these bulky wings.
Even if I flap, I only float a little.
I'm sure to spread out that map
that you made, even today.

Even if the end were to come as predicted,
I want to call out that I'm not done playing.

Shake up the docile future, Wake up!
I'm searching for a new me.

Unable to escape, you guys die too.
I haven't played enough, I want to call out.

In the brilliance of space, Wake up!
I'm searching for you in a dream.
Shake up the docile future, Wake up!
I'm searching for a new me.

02 - YOUNGSTER (Kent Arrow)

Set you free, where should we go?
A prelude to recovery.
Let you go, I can't stop.
I'm climbing the wall.
Say good bye, a sweet dream.
Fling off the whisper.
Boy meets rock, exceeding his self
that was up until yesterday.

Maybe somebody is waiting for you;
go out and meet the dawn
(the dawn is breaking)
that seems to be able to repay anything at all; Wake up!

Set you free, if you look back,
memories are like that.
Let you go, the only thing you can change
is the future.

The pages can be turned in the blowing wind;
the shackles are rusting,
(the drag is breaking)
throw them off.

Set you free, if you look back,
memories are like that.
Let you go, the only thing you can change
is the future.
Only the future.
Keep walking the unripe spring as far as you can,
because the path keeps going.

:o Awesome! Thanks

I really love Youngster. Simple, "nice" song. The lyrics are kind of what I was hoping they would be. Wake up! dodo is really growing on me, too.

Did a really shitty job on this one, but whatever. XD

03 - Propose

An acrophobic pilot,
a Minnesota afro priest,
the feelings of a bowling pin,
the heaven of the dinosaurs.
What can you see from there?

Fortune to an alley cat,
misfortune to a banker,
my first tattoo to my forehead,
love to you alone.
From there, what do you understand?

Glittering and scattered,
this strange dream is precious.
Playing in the twilit street, it's morning again.

Pure love with spinach,
winning against a third-rate villain,
the heart's Olympic torch relay
is burning brightly.
How do I seem to you?

Violently torn apart,
it's just a joking song.
There's a good chance it should be hated.

I caught it on something somewhere,
and my sleeve button is dangling.
I smoothed out my hair
skillfully hid my crying face,
and continued telling my funny story.

Glittering and scattered,
this strange dream is precious.
Playing in the twilit street, it's morning again.
Surpassing common sense,
I plan to make a show of courage and dance.
Please take care of me, forever.
Line up the pillows.

An acrophobic pilot,
a Minnesota afro priest,
the feelings of a bowling pin,
the heaven of the dinosaurs.
I propose to you.

05 - BOAT HOUSE

So long, bye-bye, I'll be laughing at you
if I manage to make it to that deserted island.
Two footsteps besides my own,
you were there holding a kitten.

You looked at me, driven off by
the harsh words of the world, and smiled.

Why haven't you started
to hate me?
It's always strange;
you're the only one that understands me.

You sing to my guitar
and I smile at your song.
We toar apart my boat and built a house,
we're not going on any voyages.

Tonight, I'll quietly steal a star
that suits you and give it to you.

The only one that believes
in these foolish songs
is you, of course.
Only crazy you.

If I ever become normal
let's tear down this house and build a boat.

The only one that belives
in these foolish songs
is you, of course.
Only crazy you.
Why haven't you started
to hate me?
It's always strange;
you're the only one that understands me.
Thank you, I love you.

Thanks for the translations! :)

I've been looking forward to Boat House, and it's pretty much just exactly what I was hoping for. The "why haven't you started to hate me?" part is just about the best thing ever.

Again, another song I relate to on some weird, happy level.

Edit: Man, what a song. It's far and away my favorite on Wake Up x3.

About ten times as much as what you've got now; 1500.

Yeah, Boat House is great, love between crazy people.

Serious Plan is a joking song, in the band score Sawao says you should try to bring out the humor in it. I'll have it translated eventually, some of the songs have little grammar points I keep getting hung up on.
