"sono mama somenai yume wo mitetemo kamawanai nara" This may be my favorite part of Angel Fish. I don't understand Japanese, but there are certain "lyrical moments" where Sawao sings the perfect words in the perfect way. Razorlike Blue contains one of those moments too. I've been wanting these lyrics for a while. Good job. |

translated! but might still need some touch-ups. let me know what you think. -------------------------------------------------------- Like something that slipped out of an American comic, they're not real, those lips that float to my eyes. Wearing a colorful shirt, posed looking back; this naughty angel fish isn't fake. I want to try touching the white skin. The sweet fragrance of your hair permeates my heart. Please, let your quivering eyes reflect me alone. Loving you, many, many, many times I was about to give up, but this endless feeling has already become my thing; I won't let it go. Even though I'm nervous, it's like I can see through to the ending. This is no cinema, the scenario is now, moving on quietly. Because I don't want to cheat, I'm going line by line, waiting without yet turning to the next page. Embracing you, I don't care if I have that sort of unending dream. It's no lie, I'm feeling like absolutely anything can happen. Like something that slipped out of an American comic, they're not real, those lips that smile so brilliantly for my sake alone. |

Not bad. Only place it sounds a bit awkward is here:
...waiting without yet turning to the next page.
I don't know enough yet to read the original Japanese, but based on the translation you did, I'd say it sounds more natural to say something like "waiting to turn to the next page" or just "waiting to turn the page." Mostly just because you wrote it as "without yet turning to the next page," that implies some intention to do so. |

well, he says he's going line by line, and doesn't want to cheat, so i think it's almost like he's not wanting to rush onward. |

Maybe that's what "waiting" means. |

...well...it doesn't seem awkward to me in context with the rest of the sentence... but what i mean is that i have that yet there (from the "mada") to stress that. |

Whatever you want. It may be the most accurate translation from Japanese, but in English it reads kinda oddly. |

i would say 'mada' modifies matteru. 'i'm still waiting, not turning the page' also, 'me ni ukabu' means more like 'to picture' or 'to imagine'. |
