Domo arigato gozaimasu, Overburn Kore uta wa subarashii!! ja mata Edit: damn, I can't wait for the new album. Always play NM on a good sound system; it's all about the bass...
Yeah the bass is really great on it. But if you listen to it on a good pair of headphones you get to hear a lot of stuff that gets lost through speakers, maybe even his voice is clearer.
And Word of Mouth is indeed, the best Nine Miles song. Theres also a reason why its Yoshiaki's most important song for himself, the same reason he did the Spiral Dub Mix.

I always use headphones when listening to 「NINE MILES」. there is definitely something that is lost when you listen to it with just speakers. although I wouldn't mind driving around in a car blasting nine miles though the speakers.
I love nine miles so much. manabe's singing is truely awesome, but I don't know if he intended it to be that way. it's like this: I understand a third of what he is saying, another third I can hear but I can interperet as a multitude of diffrent sentences that sound similar, and the last third I have no idea what he is saying. little by little as I listen to the songs over again the last incoherent third changes into the interpretive third, and eventually the interperitive third may change into the understood third. I absolutely love how that one third that I can interperet differently always changes into a different meaningful and awesomely poetic thought each time I listen to a song. I think learning the true lyrics to his songs would ruin some of that magic they have. then again if you had the lyrics, you would actually understand 100% of the message he is trying to convey. I think manabe wants it to stay the former way by not including the lyrics on his CDs, a sort of parallel to the word of mouth bit:
"I can hear the word of mouth
though it is low and good frequency
if it hopes, your heart will can hear
if one hopes so frankly"
in short, NINE MILES =

Anyone have scans of either album?
I may end up ordering it from Delicious label, but I was curious as to how cool / shitty the packaging is and whether it contains the lyrics.

does not
the packaging isn't shitty, but the flap insert doesn't have much to it. it's just a single folded over piece of paper.

The Return of the Polar Bear CD has lyrics for the Reprise version of "Return of the Polar Bear. I gave them to terra, so she has them up in the lyrics section.
-big paragraph-
It's good to know theres another person like this. They lyrics that I put a few pages back are the actual lyrics from the songs. They are the chorus for each of thsoe songs. If you really apreciate Nine Miles, like I do then you will enjoy them and it will give you a hint to the meaning of the song and the true purpose behind Nine Miles.

yeah, I figured they were correct because I remember you saying somthing about getting some nine miles lyrics from manabe. I really do appreciate them.
on the topic of lyrics, I was really psyched when I found the lyrics to word of mouth. it gave me a bit of insight into just how great nine miles's songs really are. it's truly an inspiring song. I did noticed that it seems like manabe adds syllables, skips words, and uses weird english when he sings. heh, but it's still awesome nonetheless.

I have added album pages for both Nine Miles albums and touched up the page (badly) on Wikipedia. If anyone wants to add descriptions or any other info, that would be great.
